A Bit About Me

Born in Northeast China into a family of Traditional Chinese Medicine physicians, I was inspired from an early age by the values of compassion, dedication, and service. My professional journey has taken me across cultures, from completing medical training in China, to earning a Ph.D. in Japan, and conducting postdoctoral research in Toronto. These diverse experiences have shaped my belief that true healing requires attention to both the science of the brain and the wisdom of the heart. I aim to bring warmth, empathy, and cultural sensitivity into every therapeutic relationship.

I am someone who deeply values family, friendship, and meaningful connection. I enjoy quiet moments with a cup of tea, reflective journaling, music, and long walks that allow me to slow down and appreciate the present. Having lived and studied across different cultures, I carry a deep appreciation for diversity, resilience, and lifelong learning. At heart, I am simply a fellow human being navigating growth, change, and purpose, just like the clients I have the privilege to work with.

Why I Do What I Do

I believe that every person carries an innate capacity for growth and healing, even in the midst of pain. My work as a therapist allows me to sit alongside clients as they rediscover their strengths, make meaning of their experiences, and move toward a more integrated and authentic life. It is a privilege to witness resilience unfold.

Areas of Focus

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relational challenges, and fertility-related emotional distress. I have a special interest in supporting women navigating reproductive health concerns, identity shifts, caregiving roles, and cross-cultural adaptation.

I support individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, others, or their sense of meaning. Many struggle with self-doubt, unresolved past experiences, or the pressure to meet high expectations. They are often thoughtful, capable individuals who desire to feel more emotionally balanced, confident, and aligned with their values.

I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with a holistic, mind-body approach, offering a safe and collaborative space where you can explore your inner world, build emotional resilience, and move toward clarity, strength, and renewed hope.
